Apparently,
federal juries are refusing to kill defendants. Never fear,
Virginia is still out there churning out death sentences. The article on the federal system reports that most of the death trials are in States where it is a favored punishment (and the State prosecutors are more successful) so the question becomes: why don't they hand the cases over to the locals? I've seen them do it in bank robbery cases and we've all seen it in Malvo.
